Gracie started her football journey at Bengeo Tigers when she was 7 years old. Gracie was one of 3 girls playing in a mixed team of predominantly boys. It took some expert coaching by both Joe & Darrell to bring Gracie out of her shell but soon enough she began to gain confidence and show potential. One of Gracie’s highlights of being at Bengeo Tigers was scoring the winning goal at a Panshanger Tournament much to the delight of her fellow teammates.
Eventually Gracie had to make the transition to an all girls team. She unknowingly trialed at Arsenal Ladies at the age of 9 and began her journey through the Arsenal Ladies Center of Excellence. Gracie has traveled all over the UK with Arsenal and has been on tours to Holland, France. She has played against Teams from the USA and in 2015 was selected to play in the Dallas International Girls Cup. She flew out to Texas with the Under 15 squad and was lucky enough to come back victorious. Gracie was selected to play up an age group and last year was part of the team that won both the league and the FA girls Cup at St George’s Park. This year Gracie and the Under 16 squad have won the league.
In 2015 Gracie was selected to play for England. She played played her debut International match in Belgium in 2016. Since then she has represented her country in a number of matches at St George’s Park and attends regular camps. Gracie has most recently been selected to play for England Under 16’s in UEFA Tournament in York against Spain, Denmark and Scotland.
Gracie will never forget where her football journey began and has fond memories of playing for Bengeo Tigers. She is hugely grateful for the support and encouragement of the excellent coaches who gave her the confidence to follow her dream.
